Metalcamp 2011, Tolmin

I just got into my office and almost couldn’t find my desk under a piles of Rockstar t-shirts and sweaters which we’ll be selling at this years Metalcamp in Tolmin. You can find us in our fully equipped Rockstar tent right by the entrance from July 11–17 2011, where Urska (and her team) will be in charge of finding the right product for you. Apart from last year we’ll also be offering shower gels so you guys can wash like a Rockstar between band performances. About 12.000 people are expected and some of the confirmed bands are Slayer, Arch Enemy, Virgin Steele, Airbourne, Blind Guardian,… Hope to see you there!

Cosmoprof Bologna 2011

We just came back from Italy where we visited Cosmoprof Bologna Trade Show. It’s one of the biggest cosmetics trades in the world and it was simply amazing. Since it’s only a few hour drive from Ljubljana and the amount of contacts we got was amazing. We had over 50 meetings with possible partners and they all seemed very interested in Rockstar shower gel and shampoo collection. The most important contact was meeting people from DM – Drogerie markt chain who offered us to visit the office for a meeting in order to discuss possible product placements in their stores. This contact alone was worth the entire visit and I highly recommend anyone who is in cosmetic business to visit this fair next year. I am also attaching a few photos to show you how huge this place is… thanks god we have mobile phones or we would never find each other.

When returning home we stopped for a quick coffee in Venice which is always a nice place to visit no matter how many times you’ve been there:)

Today we finally got all the »ingredients« we need to launch Rockstar shower gel/shampoo project! Everything from labels, bottles, closure caps and fragrance were customized especially for us so we are stoked. We honestly believe this product will be a a game changer in this cosmetics category and will be direct competition to Axe/Lynx… right now they basically own the majority market share for male youth shower gels. We expect first products to hit the shelves and of course be available online by the end of March 2011. Ready, set, go… game on!

Amazing Rockstar Concert!

Amazing concert last night! Incredible atmosphere that was created by almost 600 people and two spectacular bands was mind-blowing!! The place was so packed that at some point we had a line of 100 meters and the guards had to intervene quite a few times. There were guests from Italy, Austria, Croatia, Hungary and even Finland. It’s amazing how many people came … Radio Antena did a great job by informing people about this venue!

I think this evening changed everyone who is involved in this project. Urska who was in charge of selling merchandise sold over 300 t-shirts and other items… and team of Rockstar Angels gave out over 200 Rockstar shower gel samples… So the evening was an amazing success and we can’t wait for our next big event!

So thanks to all you party animals who made this truly an amazing night and special thanks to my entire team – it’s been a great evening and I couldn’t be more proud of you!

New Rockstar Warehouse!!

We just rented a new space right in the heart of Ljubljana and this place is huuuge!! Just over 1.200m2 with two bathrooms, 4 offices and an old bar!! Part of the complex will be used to store the products and the rest for will be rented out for venues and concerts. As you can see we already brought in some hard core sound equipement for our first party! We have a great evening planned, including performance of BACKSTAGE!! Everyone welcome tomorrow after 21h… Location is Stegne, Ljubljana. See you there!

Rockstar cosmetics production line

Today we were lucky enough to be invited inside cosmetics development production line where Rockstar shower gels and shampoos will be manufactured. I have to say we were all highly impressed with how modern and clean the place was. There wasn’t a single piece of dust anywhere… it’s also amazing to watch how smooth everything is going since most of the processes are fully automated. I can now see why this is one of the most advanced cosmetic facilities in Europe. After a tour of the factory we were also shown a line of additional products which we could add to the selection in the future. If everything goes according to plan Rockstar shower gels/shampoos should be fully developed in a week! We are all very excited and can’t wait to get this project started!
